Description

West of Iceland has it all. A natural pool, glacier, waterfalls, lava, and volcanoes. Also charming fishing villages and breathtaking views all around the Snæfellsnes peninsula. Few of our possible stops include Snæfellsjökull National Park with Djúpalónssandur, Hellnar, Arnarstapi and Gerduberg. Many of my favorite places are however not famous at all or crowded with people but nevertheless just as breathtaking and special.
Our company is a small family based one. We are very passionate about our nature and we love our work. We focus on giving a great memorable experience to few people at the time. We want you to feel like you were visiting an old friend in Iceland that is showing you some of his island's most beautiful places.

The volcano Snæfellsjökull – a stratovolcano like Eyjafjallajökull – is the king of this tour. It’s cone shape is quite clear as it stands out furthest west on the Snæfellsnes peninsula. It got world famous in Jules Verne novel “Journey to the Center of the Earth” in 1864. It last erupted about 1.700 years ago and is still an active volcano.
As you travel to the west you see mountains made in hundreds of different eruptions throughout millions of years. Carved by giant glaciers so you can read their story on the mountainsides, layer by layer – line by line. In between beautiful layers of recent lava covered with soft moss.
On this whole day private tour you will see everything this volcanic Island has to offer. Craters, cinder cones, volcanoes, a glacier and lava fields. In between some stunning views with waterfalls, black beaches and lovely fishing villages.
And as this is a private tour, of course we can customize it according to your wishes. Add some snowmobile action, horse riding tour, short boat trip or visit to a volcano museum can easily fit your itinerary.
